George Vosburgh has successfully counseled
high achieving college-bound students as well as those struggling with underachievement and specific learning difficulties.
His training and experience in education and psychology and his extensive personal knowledge of resources in Philadelphia
and throughout the country enable him to guide students in finding solutions for a variety of educational needs. He maintains
up-to date knowledge on all aspects of education through regular visits to school and college campuses, participation in national
and local conferences and ongoing communication with admissions, clinical and other professionals in the field. He has held
leadership roles in several professional and community organizations and presented workshops on a variety of education- and
career-related topics.
During his 35+ years in independent
boarding and day schools as a teacher, counselor and headmaster, he worked with students guiding their transition to both
secondary schools and colleges. His work as an Outplacement Consultant led to his interest in career counseling as a complement
to educational planning. Mr. Vosburgh graduated with a bachelor's degree in English language and literature from the University
of Colorado and a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Denver. His background includes counseling
& educational transition planning at schools for students with learning disabilities, career counseling, consulting to
day and boarding schools, and serving as headmaster in three independent schools.
He serves on the boards of the Pennsylvania Branch of the International Dyslexia Association, Delaware
Valley Friends School and Montgomery School.
He is affiliated with
the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), the Main
Line Chamber of Commerce (MLCC) and the Wayne Business Association (WBA).
